The current Watanabe Ukiyo-e catalog. All of these prints are from re-carved blocks. These were not originally published by the Watanabe Company. The original blocks are either gone or so worn down as to be useless. So the company carved new blocks to reproduce the prints. Original ukiyo-e are getting harder to find, so this should be a big money-maker for the company. It's possible that these are of higher quality than the originals. They're certainly in better condition.
