March 29 - Yanaka, Ueno, Ginza and Roppongi
Nextdoor to the coppersmith was this typical living room of the Edo era. Tatami reed mats on the floor, a simple table and a brazier for cooking, and a couple of cabinets. Japanese decor is always uncluttered, to the point of being sparse. Maybe it's the Buddhist influence of being unencumbered by Earthly things.
